Richmond residents wanting to support local businesses who help protect the environment have a new resource, the Green Richmond Guide.
Produced by Richmond and Twickenham Friends of the Earth, the guide acts as a directory of local business and charities doing their bit to reduce the environmental impact of their operations.
Anyone wanting to find organic food stores, plastic-free shops, repairers, locally grown food, eco-toiletries and more can view the online guide at www.greenrichmond.org.uk.
Simon Tompsett of Richmond and Twickenham Friends of the Earth said:
"In the Borough there are plenty of people who care about the environment and want to do their bit but don’t know what is available locally. We hope our guide will help them and encourage local businesses to become more sustainable. We have allowed the public to suggest entries for the guide that we have missed. We want the green Richmond Guide to grow and be kept up to date.”
