A man wanted for allegedly trying to mow down pedestrians on Dartford High Street has been detained in Tenerife on suspicion of attempted murder.

Bradley Knapp was named as one of the UK's 'most wanted' after a car ploughed into a group of people near a pub in Dartford, leaving two with severe injuries.

The 26-year-old was arrested by Spanish authorities in Tenerife on September 29, extradited and handed over to Kent Police's custody.

He has since been charged with attempted murder, grievously bodily harm, causing serious injury by dangerous driving and perverting the course of justice.

Kent Police said the charges relate to an incident outside The Clipper pub in Dartford High Street on October 11, 2019.

A man allegedly drove a Ford Fiesta into pedestrians on the high street, seriously injuring two people.

Knapp, of no address, has also been charged with dangerous driving, assaulting an emergency services worker and handling stolen goods following another incident in Swanscombe on August 16, 2019.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 27 October and has been remanded in custody to next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 24 November.
