ONE more person has died at Royal Bolton Hospital after contracting covid-19.
Figures released by Public Health England this afternoon confirmed one more coronavirus-related death at the hospital, with the patient passing away on Tuesday.
Four patient deaths at the borough's hospital have now been linked to covid-19 this week.
The latest death was one of five announced in hospitals across England, with East Lancashire Hospitals Trust, Southend University Hospital, the University Hospitals of North Midlands Trust, and Dartford and Gravesham Trust all reporting one new death.
So far, 230 people have now died at the borough hospital after contracting the virus.
A further 15 cases of covid-19 have now been confirmed across the borough, bringing the total number of people who have tested positive for the virus to 2,055.
Yesterday, 21 new cases of the virus were confirmed.
