A man in his 50s has died this morning after being hit by a lorry.
Kent Police have arrested the driver of a lorry after the vehicle collided with a pedestrian on the A20 in Farningham, in Sevenoaks and next to Swanley.
The incident happened at 4.28am this morning, Thursday, August 6, on the A20, and has closed the road.
Kent Police say there was a fatal road traffic collision involving the lorry and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a man in his 50s, died at the scene.
The driver, a man in his 40s, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently in custody.
The road is currently closed, and officers are asking for any witnesses or those with dashcam footage to contact them.
