A group of friends unleashed their dogs in a 'deliberate' attack on a family of geese last week.

Eyewitnesses caught the group laughing as they launched the attack at Seven Islands Pond, on Sunday (June 7).

One goose managed to be saved, however, is severely injured.

The other goose is understood to be dead.

The eyewitness said: "My son and I rescued the surviving baby, she is now at the Swan Sanctuary.

"One of her legs is broken and she is extremely traumatised.

"They found it hilarious - laughing and egging on their dogs to attack.

"Training their dogs to kill is disgusting, these types of people will no doubt be animal abusers.

"I have spoken to the police and they will be carrying out further investigations."

Police have been contacted for comment.
