A choir is to host a whole day of online musical events in aid of Mental Health Awareness Week.

The Rock Choir, has announced they will be hosting a virtual fundraising event to support Mental Health Awareness Week, which takes place from May 18 to May 25.

'The Rock Choir' will host an energetic schedule of dynamic singing sessions, themed musical events, songs from the decades and sessions aimed at teenagers and younger children.

The event will be held together, with Rock Choirs other branches located across South West.

Mixed up with the musical content which will be both live and pre-recorded footage and video messages from Key Worker Rock Choir Members who will share their stories from the front line in response to the pandemic

Caroline Redman Lusher the Founder, Creator and Creative Director of Rock Choir, said: “Rock Choir has been looking after the well-being of the British public for 15 years now.

"I knew that we would need to ensure that we continued to support not only our Rock Choir Members but also the needs of the public as lockdown continued and anxiety, stress and difficulties developed through this time."

CEO of the Mental Health Foundation, Mark Rowland, said: "I am so delighted that Rock Choir are putting on a 24-hour fundraiser for the Mental Health Foundation and to be taking part by singing in it myself too.

"By bringing people together and raising funds, The Rock Choir is not only an expression of kindness but one that uses singing which is also great for our mental health."

The vibrant event will take place at 11 am on their Facebook page, until 11 am on Tuesday, May 19, the next day.
