VISITBRIGHTON has arranged a new virtual festival, the Big BrightonONline Weekender, which will be taking place online throughout the May Bank Holiday weekend.

The festival between tomorrow and Sunday has launched amid the cancellation of Brighton’s summer events calendar due to Covid-19.

Traditionally, May in Brighton is a celebratory month that signals the start of summer, with lots of leading arts, culture and music events including the Brighton Festival, Brighton Fringe, Artists Open House and the Great Escape all taking place and bringing entertainment to hundreds of thousands of people.

This year, with a huge culture-sized gap left by the cancellation of all live events and gatherings, the city’s tourism body has organised a selection of the best events, performances and shows in the first virtual festival to come to the city.

The festival features an impressive schedule including a live turtle feeding at Brighton’s Sea Life,.

The festival will be hosted via VisitBrighton’s social media channels.
