A man was spotted fitting a device to a cashpoint and taking a bank card in Ewell, police said on Thursday (April 2), as they appealed to the public in their investigation.

Surrey Police released CCTV images of the man they "are keen to speak to" in connection to the footage, plus an accompanying statement detailing the information they were working with.

The cash machine that appears to have been targeted was at the BP petrol station on London Road, police said:

"We were called to reports of fraudulent activity at a cash machine at a BP petrol station in London Road after a man was seen fitting a device to the cash machine around 1pm on 29 March.

"10 minutes later, he was seen removing the device along with the victim’s bank card.

"We are keen to speak to the man in the CCTV images as we believe he may have information which could help us with our investigation."
