The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in South West London has more than doubled in a day.

Released daily by the Government and Public Health England, the latest Covid-19 statistics, accurate as of 9am on Wednesday, March 18, show there are now 2,626 cases in the UK, with 953 in London.

There have been 103 recorded deaths in the UK.

Borough by borough, Lambeth has the most cases in South West London with 61, followed closely by Wandsworth with 59.

Merton has 34 confirmed cases of Covid-19, Croydon has 32 Sutton has 12 while both Richmond and Kingston have 7 each.

Public Health England are not disclosing specific details about individual cases.
