Police in Kingston seized a machete and arrested a suspect after investigating the presence of weapons being left in stairwells on the Cambridge Road Estate.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police in Kingston tweeted about the bust, which featured an image of weapons seized by the police including a machete.

A spokesperson for the borough police force said on Thursday (January 23) that one suspected had been arrested during the sweep on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.
"Knives seized #CambridgeEstate," they said on the micro-blogging website.
"Sgt Hobbs and our tasking team incl. PCs Spence and Halilaj, reacted to knives being secreted in stairwells.
"Attending, they found 4 men in the area. 1 ran, dropping the machete.
"Male charged: Possession of offensive weapon. Assault an emergency worker," Kingston MPS added.
