An events company in Dartford has been congratulated on becoming a parliamentary review best practice representative.

Lollipop Events, which has employed 28 people from Dartford and the surrounding areas, is based at The Orchards Shopping Centre.

They hold events ranging from baby showers to summer festivals.

The company also works with business improvement districts, town centres and shopping centres and help community-led volunteer groups raise funds to put on professionally managed events.

The company was approached by Co-chairman of The Parliamentary Review, Lord Pickles, to be one of this year’s representatives.

Lord Pickles said: “It is essential that politicians have a firm understanding of the challenges with which British organisations must contend.”

Dartford MP, Gareth Johnson, recently visited Lollipop Events to congratulate staff.

Commenting on their success he said: “It was a real pleasure to meet Rachelle and the team.

“Her dedication to ensuring inclusive and accessible events for all was clear.

“The continued success of Lollipop events and their commitment to best practice is a testament to the hard-working and well-managed team I met.”

Managing Director Rachelle Harte said: “Lollipops were delighted to have been approached by Lord Pickles to be one of this year’s Parliamentary Review Best Practice Representatives.

“We are thrilled that Gareth took time out of his busy schedule to visit us to congratulate us on the review.

"And recognised the staff whose professionalism and hard work has contributed to Lollipops success over the years.”
