An elderly man has been killed this afternoon following a crash in Mitcham.
Police were called to Streatham Road in Mitcham at 3.42pm on Friday, December 20 to deal with a serious crash
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended to the scene where two cars had collided.
An elderly man had suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are informing his next of kin.
Another man, in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He was taken to hospital as a precaution and will go into custody upon discharge.
The road will remain closed while on scene enquiries take place.
