Labour’s Ellie Reeves has been elected as the next MP for Lewisham West and Penge after Labour won the seat with 61.2 per cent of the votes and a majority of 21,543.
It was declared early on Friday morning that Ms Reeves will return as Labour MP for the constituency after she received 31,860 votes.
The Conservative candidate, Aisha Cuthbert, came in at second place on election night, receiving 10,317 votes.
She was followed by Liberal Democrat Alex Feakes in third place with 6,260 votes, and James Braun of the Green Party in fourth with 2,390.
The Brexit Party candidate, Teixeira Hambro, won 1,060 votes, whilst Christian Peoples Alliance's Katherine Hortense received 213 votes.
Turnout was 69.8 per cent.
