Hundreds of Santas descended on Orpington on Sunday, turning the town centre red and white for the third year running.
The 2019 Santa Dash saw a record 400 men, women and children donned their suits, running a two kilometre course around the gardens, on to the high street, before crossing the finishing line in Market Square to the sound of festive hits.
All participants received a souvenir medal and a reusable water bottle, distributed by volunteers from Orpington Rotary, and several of the town’s businesses ran special Santa offers for the day.
Orpington 1st BID Manager, Chris Travers, said: “We’re delighted with the turnout for this year’s event, so well done and thank you to all our dashers.
"They’ve all contributed to making a fabulous atmosphere and it’s great to see so many of them using our shops, cafes and restaurants afterwards.”
Orpington 1st Executive Director, Sharon Baldwin, added: “The town centre business community is committed to ensuring Orpington continues to be a vibrant place to live and visit, and events like this demonstrate what a brilliant town we have."
