A Biggin Hill man who allegedly assaulted and abused police officers after he was stopped for drink driving has been charged.
Andrew Tree, 43, of Blackthorne Road, has been charged with two counts of assault by beating an emergency worker, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and with using threatening or abusive words, or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
Police were called to London Road, Westerham, at 11.30pm on Wednesday, to reports a car crashed into bollards on London Road.
It is reported the driver exited the vehicle and made threats to members of the public, before leaving the scene.
The suspect was located shortly after, when it is alleged officers were kicked and pushed.
He is bailed to appear before Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on January 6 2020.
