Passengers travelling on the South Western Railway (SWR) service are being advised to check the new timetables ahead of the industrial strike action.

SWR have produced timetables between December 2, December 7, and December 23.

There will be no industrial action on December 12 because of the General Election but the amended timetable will still be in place.

From December 23, there will be a different timetable with services finishing earlier than expected and there will be no services on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day

Peak services are expected to be busier than normal and passengers are being advised that there will be a queuing system at busier stations as a result.

Off-peak services will be reduced and all services will end at 11pm however - there will be a replacement bus service at various stations and, that most bus and train operators will be accepting tickets.

The newly revised timetables are available to download from the SWR website and passengers can also keep up to date with the latest SWR news via the @SW_Help Twitter account.
