A man has been charged with possessing a firearm after a pistol was found inside a customer locker in a gym in Dartford.
Freddie Bell, 22, of Patterdale Road, Dartford, was arrested on Monday, November 18 following an investigation by detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.
The pistol and ammunition for it were found at the gym on Darenth Road on the evening of October 30, and a Kent Police officer attended the scene and seized the weapon that same day.
Bell has since been charged with possessing a firearm and 10 rounds of ammunition.
He has been remanded in custody and was due to appear before Medway Magistrates' Court today, November 19.
