Here’s how we rated Charlton’s players in their dramatic draw with 10-man West Bromwich Albion.

Dillon Phillips – 8 – He produced some outstanding saves in a pulsating second-half to keep Charlton in the game. Tremendous performance overall, despite the goals. Second one was more disappointing from a general perspective.

Chris Solly – 6 – Had his hands full with Diangana, who with Matheus Pereira gave Charlton a lot of problems, but contributed well going forward. Put a great chance past the post before being involved in the build-up to the penalty.

Tom Lockyer – 5 – Was not great for the second goal and fortunate to not get sent off. Hal Robson-Kanu sold him too easily for the overlapping run before curling home West Brom's second. Pereira gave him a huge headache all game and it showed in his repeated fouling.

Jason Pearce – 7 – Did well to help keep Charlie Austin under wraps and stepped up to make two critical interceptions as Diangana and Pereira created chances.

Naby Sarr – 6 – Decent performance overall, but arguably did not do enough to stop Matt Phillips at the back post for the opener. Dillon Phillips later spared his blushes when he gave the ball away on the edge of his own area. Semi Ajayi was adjudged to have fouled him for the penalty but replays suggest that was a bit soft.

Darren Pratley – 6 – Helped shore up the midfield, anchoring in front of the defence, as West Brom struggled to get a rhythm during periods of open play.

Josh Cullen – 8 – Converted the penalty with such coolness and composure, textbook technique. Had a busy afternoon ensuring to stay tight on runners while getting Charlton into dangerous areas.

Conor Gallagher – 6 – Looking back, he will be frustrated to not have worked the goalkeeper better for that chance in the first half. Got through a lot of running.

Erhun Oztumer – 6 – Appears to be acclimatising to his team’s style of play. With Jonny Williams absent for some time, the onus will be on him to perform. He did have the right idea in dangerous areas and help fashion good chances.

Macauley Bonne – 7 – Although the best chances fell to others in the team, he took the opportunity when he saw it. He’s confident, he’s scoring goals and has really taken the leading front man role in his stride.
