GOOD Samaritans teamed up for a charity golf day.
Despite the unsettled weather conditions, 88 players enjoyed a day of golf at at Clacton Golf Club.
They managed to raise £3,254 for the Colchester branch of the Samaritans.
The organisation also received donations as a result of their raffle and prizes were donated from their team of volunteers.
Lifehouse Spa and Hotel in Thorpe-le-Soken selected Colchester Samaritans as their charity of the year.
Gaynor Bell from Colchester Samaritans said: “Events such as this are vitally important for us both in raising essential funds and also as a great social occasion where we can raise awareness of the work we do.
“Without the generosity of our community, Colchester Samaritans would not be able to continue to support anyone who might be going through a difficult time.”
With 201 branches across UK and Ireland, Samaritans respond to a call for help every six seconds.
