Coulsdon police got more than they bargained for when they attempted to carry out a drugs search on Tuesday.
Tweeting from the Old Coulsdon Police Twitter account, a messaged read that the team arrested a man in Rutherwick Rise. But this came in slightly unusual circumstances.
"He obstructed a drugs search and then lied about his identity," the tweet read.
"It turned out he has been wanted since 2014 by immigration officers due to a previous crimes.
"It is now likely he will be deported."
