The death of cat which was found opposite its Bellingham home is being linked to the UK Animal Killer
On Saturday, October 5 the "much loved" cat was found mutilated.
A veterinary examination confirmed that her injuries were caused by a bladed instrument.
As a result South Norwood Animal Rescue and Liberty (SNARL) were informed.
"We would like to thank the vets for their thorough examination and Report," a message from SNARL read.
"The injuries are consistent with those inflicted by the UK Animal Killer, so sadly we are ruling this incident into our investigation.
"Enquiries and leafleting are being carried out.
"If you living in the Bellingham Green area and have CCTV or know anyone who does, please contact SNARL as soon as possible and we will let you know if it is of interest.
"Our advice remains to keep cats indoors at night and with the darker evenings, call them in earlier if you can."
The group also offered its condolences to the family.
