A FORMER Mount St Joseph pupil is one of 20 men vying for the attention of a celebrity ‘bachelorette’ on an Australian reality TV show.

Ciarran Stott, 25, moved from Bolton to Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia in his early teens.

The ex-army rifleman was one of the first contestants announced for the fifth season of The Bachelorette Australia, which begins on Wednesday.

A spokesman for the show said: “Ciarran lights up any room with his vibrant personality and bold style.

“He is known as a gentleman among his friends and he isn’t afraid to spoil his partner.

“Having been in love once before, Ciarran is ready to take the leap and fall for an easygoing girl.”

In the show, Ciarran and 19 other men will try and impress 29-year-old Gogglebox Australia star Angie Kent.

The first episode involves a twist with Angie’s brother Brad Kent entering the mansion undercover to gain an insight into the other contestants.

A video has been posted on the show’s social media accounts showing Ciarran’s entrance into the mansion, where he and his fellow contestants will be staying with Angie.

He describes his personality as “fun, flirty, flamboyant and fabulously British.”

Upon meeting Angie for the first time, she tells him that he looks like he has come “straight out of Austin Powers”, to which he replies: “I felt like a bit of a sexual Willy Wonka to be honest.”

In a trailer for the series, posted online yesterday morning, clips tease Ciarran playing a prominent and explosive role.

He is shown getting into clashes with fellow contestants, describing one as “an absolute weasel” and telling another “you’re a f****** idiot”, before storming out of the mansion shouting: “I’m done with this show. Get me out of here.”

Angie seems impressed with him though as he models nude for a life drawing class. There is also a clip of the pair sharing a kiss later in the trailer.

The show will air on Network 10 in Australia.
