Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash in Motspur Park.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 5.19pm on October 3 to Bushey Road at the A3 slip road following reports of a crash involving a bus and a motorcycle.

The male rider of the motorcycle, who is believed to be in his 20s, was taken to a south London hospital where he died a short time later.

Officers are in contact with his next of kin.

The driver of the bus stopped at the scene and there have been no arrests.

Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating and TfL have also launched an investigation.

Claire Mann, Director of Bus Operations at TfL, said: “Our sympathies go out to the family and friends of the person who sadly died after a collision with a route 265 bus while riding a motorcycle on the A3 Beverley Way.

"A full investigation with the bus operator London United is underway.”

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have captured it on dashcam footage.
