Inspiring Emily Muskett has made history after becoming the first British medallist at a World Weightlifting Championships in 25 years.
The Commonwealth gold medallist triumphed in Thailand this week by winning bronze against the best weightlifters in the world.
Muskett was born in Bromley and lived here until she recently moved to Australia for work.
Her sporting career started as a member of Blackheath Harriers – the same running club Orpington hero Dina Asher-Smith honed her craft.
Muskett went on to train in pole vaulting before finding her weightlifting talent as part of the Crystal Palace and Europa clubs.
The athlete held on to three jobs, including teaching young women CrossFit, while training for the World Weightlifting Championships.
Her relentless work ethic paid off in Thailand after lifting 126kg in the 79kg division to claim bronze - the first Brit to medal in the competition in two and a half decades.
Her next ambition is to qualify for the Olympic Games in Tokyo next year.
