A man walked into a KFC in Southgate after being stabbed before leaving to go to hospital, police have said.

Police had been called to the fast food restaurant in Chase Side just before 9.00pm on Thursday, September 12, to reports of a stabbing.

But when officers attended, the man had left. It was reported that he had suffered a stab injury.

Shortly after, a man believed to be in his late teens was found at a north London hospital with a stab injury.

His condition has been assessed as not life-threatening.

A tweet from Southgate police provided a link to a website that had a post regarding the incident.

 

 

It read: “Some bad news from overnight relating to a Police call to KFC on Chase Side. A male entered KFC with a stab injury.

“The male is OK and received treatment at a local hospital. However the male victim has refused to provide Police with any details of where and how he sustained the injury. Inquiries are ongoing.”

No arrests have been made.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to a fast food restaurant in Chase Side, N1, shortly before 21.00hrs on Thursday, 12 September to reports of a stabbing.

“Officers attended. It was reported that a male with a stab injury had attended the restaurant.

“A short time later, a man, believed to be in his late teens, was found at a north London hospital with a stab injury.

“His condition has been assessed as non life-threatening."
