All four were taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service; none of the injuries are life threatening.

No arrests have been made and detectives are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen these incidents or believes they may have more information.

Inspector Dan Whitten, of the Met’s South West Command Unit, said: “Prior to the event we worked closely with the organisers of the festival and an appropriate policing plan was in place across the weekend.

“The vast majority of those who attended the festival were there to enjoy the music and behaved in the right way.

“However, it is clear that a number of people were intent on causing harm and we are committed to finding those responsible for these acts of violence.”
