A man has been arrested after being slashed in broad daylight.

Police were called at 2.48pm today to reports of a group of men seen in possession of weapons in South Lodge Avenue.

“Officers attended and found a male suffering from a slash injury," a Met spokesman said.

"He was taken by the London Ambulance Service to a south London hospital for treatment; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
