THOUSANDS of fans descended upon The University of Bolton Stadium this weekend for the Rugby League Challenge Cup.
Despite the poor weather, it did not put a dampener on proceedings with 24,364 people turning up to watch a day of rugby.
Fans donned their teams' colours and took full advantage of the chance to drink in the stands, which is prohibited at football games inside the stadium.
Both of the men's semi-finals and the women's final were held at the stadium on Saturday.
It is the second year in a row that the ground has played host to the semi-finals in the tournament.
In the first match of the day, Leeds Rhinos won the Women's Challenge Cup, after beating Castleford Tigers 16-10.
Warrington Wolves then beat Hull FC 22-14 in the second game of the day.
St Helens also progressed to the final after beating huge outsiders Halifax 22-2.
The final will be held at Wembley Stadium on August 24.
