A new HBO series has started filming in Wimbledon.
Notices posted at the New Wimbledon Theatre carpark advised residents that a suspension order is in place in order to allow filming to take place (which will last until July 31).

Andy Gibbons was even able to snap a few pictures of actors and actresses dressed head to toe in their Victorian era getups.

"It looks like Joss Whedon’s 'The Nevers' is filming at New Wimbledon Theatre for the next few days," he said.
"Managed to grab a few pics this morning, including an orchestra and extras in costume."
And right he was, with a spokesman for Merton Council's film office confirming it was indeed the sci-fi show in town.

So what exactly is The Nevers?
Well as Andy pointed out, it's Joss Whedon's newest creation and stars Northern Ireland actress Laura Donnelly.
In the storyline category on IMDB it reads: "An epic science fiction drama about a gang of Victorian women who find themselves with unusual abilities, relentless enemies, and a mission that might change the world."
The movie is due to come out sometime next year.
