Crystal Palace want to sign Liverpool’s Simon Mignolet according to reports.
The Belgian goalkeeper spent the majority of the season on the bench at Anfield as Brazilian Alisson took the no.1 jersey.
Despite only making two league appearances as Jurgen Klopp’s side were pipped to the league title on the final day, sources claim Palace are prepared to splash out £8million on the former Sunderland man.
The 31-year-old boasts a wealth of experience having amassed 245 Premier League appearances from his time with Sunderland and Liverpool.
The Eagles are eager to land a shot-stopper having seen long-serving Julian Speroni depart last season.
Vicente Guaita has impressed in his debut season at Selhurst Park usurping Wayne Hennessey as Roy Hodgson's first choice goalkeeper, but it's thought the Eagles boss wants more competition for the Spaniard as off-field dramas involving Hennessey has caused the Welshman to fall out of favour.
Mignolet struggled to hold down a starting berth at Anfield during his time with Lorius Karius bought in by Klopp in 2016 before Alisson sealed his starting position last season.
Crystal Palace fans were less than impressed with the latest target however.
