Staff at a Sutton nursing home are celebrating after they came home from a “glamorous” black tie event with a host of awards for their work.

Patricia Fyfe, manager of St Judes Nursing Home in Mayfield Road, was named Businesswoman of the Year at the Clubhouse Group Awards for 2018.

She said: “This is a wonderful occasion to glam up, enjoy successes and mingle with employees from other businesses within the group.

“We are delighted to receive so many awards in recognition for our hard work and dedication, and we’re thrilled to share these back at St Judes with those who were unable to attend the event.

“I am so proud.”

Meanwhile clinical lead Elena Vrajitoru received the Departmental Manager of the Year on behalf of the nursing team at St Judes.

She said: “It’s a wonderful experience for me to lead and work with a dedicated team to deliver such excellent care at St Judes.

“I am delighted to be awarded this honour.”

Other awards were given to the care team, an Angel and Saviours Award for activity lead Helen Steward and Eva Viola who was voted Employee of the Year by her colleagues.

Accountant Bharat Desai also received a special directors’ award for his “long-standing loyalty and dedication” to the company.

The Clubhouse Group Awards were hosted at Woughton Hotel in Milton Keynes.
