Two teenagers are on the run from police following a fight in the Centre Court McDonald's

Police were called just after 11.30am this morning to reports of an altercation at the shopping centre in Queen’s Road.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a man, aged in his 40s, with a minor head injury. He was treated at the scene.

Officers were told that the two suspects, a man and a woman both aged in their mid to late teens, became irate with staff in the food court and began throwing items around.

The victim intervened and the male suspect assaulted him during a scuffle.

The suspects ran off in the direction of Wimbledon Hill.

A McDonald's spokesman said: “The safety and security of our people and our customers is our absolute priority, and it is extremely disappointing and unacceptable to see a customer behaving in this way.

"We were aware of this incident and co-operated fully with the police investigation.”

Police have said no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101 quoting 2681/20FEB or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
