Langley Park School for Boys has proved it is 'world-class' after being handed a prestigious award.

The Beckenham school has been presented with the World Class School Quality Mark.

The accolade is given to select schools rated outstanding in all categories by Ofsted and which have a track record of excellent results.

Miranda Perry, director of World Class Schools, presented the award at the school and told said: “Your students are genuinely some of the very best in the country.”

Students presented a case for accreditation through detailed auditing of their school's capabilities, video submissions in support of their application, and participating in an assessment centre event where their performance was measured.

Headteacher Steve Parsons said “We are extremely proud of our students, and of receiving this award in recognition of our success around educating the ‘whole child’.

"We look forward to working with other World Class Schools to share ideas, and develop even further the opportunities for students here at Langley Boys.”

The World Class School Quality Mark is supported by a range of businesses, further and higher education providers and parent organisations that are interested in which schools nationally are the best at developing young people to succeed in a rapidly evolving world.
