A teenager who was struck and killed by a coach in Mitcham has been named by police.
Officers were called at 1.12pm on January 31 to reports that a a pedestrian had been hit in London Road.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the boy was pronounced dead at the scene at 1.40pm
Police have today identified the victim as Rashid Abdullah Alhadid, 18, from Croydon.
Senior investigating officer Detective Sergeant Nick Mackian, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with Rashid’s next of kin and we are continuing to piece together exactly what happened.
“We are still keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident and can assist with our enquiries.”
Officers continue to appeal for witnesses to the incident.
