A stand-up comedy night that raises money for a food bank has decided to host this year's show at the Tooting Tram and Social.

Canned Laughter has been running since October 2017, raising over £10,000 for Eat or Heat.

This month's event will take place on February 21 and comedians David Mills, Luke McQueen, Lola & Jo, Stephen Bailey, Gabby Best, Sadia Azmat and Micky Overman will be bringing a barrel of laughs to Tooting.

Tickets cost £5 and the audience is also asked to bring five food bank-friendly items to donate. All the proceeds raised from the evening will go to The Wandsworth Food Bank.

Kenny Tanner, Ali Severs and Amelia Vickery the show’s founders said: “Over the last 17 months we’ve managed to raise over £10,000 in cash for Eat or Heat and the donations from the show have stocked the food bank for approximately 34 weeks.”

“After the success of the Walthamstow events, where we welcomed amazing acts like Aisling Bea, Tom Allen, Russell Kane, Josie Long and more we decided to take the show south of the river.

"Our first show last November was a massive success and we can’t wait to return with another killer line up headlined by the gorgeous Stephen Bailey.

"The support from audiences, comedians and the local community has been incredible and we hope to keep growing and helping as many people in need as we can.”
