A Mandarin school in East Sheen celebrated Chinese New Year with a colourful gala.

Little Panda Mandarin and Drama school held the celebration at Thomson House School building.

The gala was attended by Mona Adams and started off with dragon and lion dances.

Local children performed as they celebrated the Year of the Pig.

Students sang in mandarin and performed their version of the Chinese classic Journey to the West.

Other highlights included the Peacock and Umbrella dances of Little Panda headmistress, Xiaoyu Shi and her team.

Acclaimed operatic Soprano Bei Bei Wang, accompanied by her choir, provided a finale to the celebrations.
