Police have released a CCTV image of a male they wish to speak with after a 12-year-old schoolgirl was sexually assault in Epsom.

The teenager was walking home from school along Chessington Road, between 3.40pm and 4pm on December 5, when she was approached by the suspect.

It was after he commented on her make-up and shirt that he then inappropriately touched her.

Detectives say he is between 15 and 16 years old, of Asian appearance, with straight black hair that was longer on the top than the sides.

He was between 5’6 and 5’8 inches tall and of a slim build, with a stubble above his mouth.

Surrey Police also say he was wearing a navy blazer with a yellow trim, white shirt, black tie black trousers and black shoes.

Detective Sergeant Stephen Muncaster said: “We have released this CCTV in the hope someone may recognise the person and come forward with the information we need to bring whoever was responsible for this offence to justice.

“The victim was understandably left very shaken by the incident and I am urging people to look closely at the picture and give me a call if they believe they have information which could help our investigation.”
