Taco Bell will be opening a store in Wimbledon town centre.
Known for its Tex-Mex tacos, burritos and nachos, the American fast-food chain has "had its sights set" on London and recently opened stores in Croydon, Hammersmith and Fulham.
Now it seems as though Wimbledon will get in on the action.
A planning application was submitted to Merton Council last week to redesign the shopfront at the now closed Ahmed Tandoori in 2, The Broadway.
Those plans revealed that the shop would be adorned with the classic purple bell, signalling Taco Bell's imminent move
The store itself went up for sale in October last year with an initial asking price of £1.7 million
Originally launched in the United States, there are currently more than 425 Taco Bell restaurants across 27 markets outside of the US.
Taco Bell have been approached for more details about the store opening.
