Lidl has finally announced when it will be opening its new store in Mitcham.
Last year plans to move the supermarket into the old Halfords store in Streatham were approved, with construction starting soon after.
But now the company have announced that it will open its doors for the first time on January 24.

Lidl UK’s regional head of property, Henry Neel, said: “We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing this new Lidl store to Mitcham Eastfields.
"It is great for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we can’t wait to start serving our multi-award winning products to the local community.”

A total of 40 new jobs have been created as part of the move with customers invited to attend the opening ceremony at 8am on the day.
