A man was taken to hospital after reportedly being stabbed outside a Mitcham pub earlier this week.

Police were called just after 6.30pm on Monday, October 29 to London Road, near the White Lion of Mortimer to reports of an altercation.

One witness said they saw the victim “lying on the ground with stab wounds.”

When officers and the London Ambulance Service arrived, they found a man, believed to be in his 30s, suffering from injuries, but did not say if they were the result of being stabbed.

He was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been discharged.

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
