Of the hundreds of crimes reported in August this year, less than a dozen were of people carrying illegal weapons.

The latest figures recorded by the Metropolitan Police show that there were 1504 crimes reported in the borough for the month of August (the most up to date figures), down slightly from July's figure of 1587.

But of those, only eight of them were classed as "possession of weapons."

The statistics are broken down into 14 categories, ranging from burglary, to shoplifting, to arson.
