When the people of Colliers Wood woke on Sunday morning to find that a downpour of rain had made its way to them, there was concern for the annual Jumble Trail.

But those fears were soon washed away as revelers took to the streets, albeit a little later than expected.

"It was decided by stall holders taking part that the Jumble Trail would go ahead," event organiser Jacqui Fromberg said.

"Gazebo’s were put up in front gardens, halls and front rooms opened up and the day went ahead as planned."

Thankfully the rain stopped come the afternoon and the things finally kicked into gear.

"Front gardens became a plethora of unwanted items such as household and gardening items, old 45rpm records, clothes, homemade cakes, international food stalls, craft goods and information on events and groups happening in Colliers Wood," Mrs Fromberg said.

"Many stalls were raising money for charity so it was amazing to see the turn out and the good will of people to support and donate to the charities.

"The sun shone on Colliers Wood Sunday afternoon."
