A Wimbledon restaurant has claimed a top honour at a recent awards night.
Nyeat opened in February this year and during the eighth instalment of the Time and Leisure Food and Culture awards was crowned winner of 'best local restaurant'.
Co-founder of the steak and seafood bar, Ramadan Ozdemir, was delighted by the achievement.
"As a family run business we are extremely proud and all the hard work behind the scenes has been worth it," he said.
"Thank you to our fantastic customers as without their nominations and support, none of this would be possible.
"Nyeat will continue to raise its standards and provide a stellar dining experience.”
As well as taking out the prize for best local restaurant, it was also commended in the category of 'best newcomer'.
