Three men have been jailed following a stabbing in Beckenham.

Just after 7pm on March 10 the 23-year-old victim was stabbed six times in High Street, including one which punctured his lung.

Officers from the Trident and Area Crime Command launched an investigation and eventually traced a vehicle that had been used by those involved in the attack.

This led them to Gipsy Hill where Jordashe James, 24, of Lunham Road in Crystal Palace was arrested.

Kamahl Cameron, 22, Colby Road in Gipsy Hill of was identified as the driver of the vehicle arrested ten days after the attack, during which he was found with £25,000 worth of cocaine and crack cocaine

Finally, forensic evidence linked Dyjarn Belle, 22 of Bennetts Close, Mitcham Belle to the attack and he was subsequently arrested.

All three pleaded guilty to various offences when they appeared for trial at Croydon Crown Court on Monday, September 3

They reappeared at the same court the next day.

Cameron was jailed for three years and nine months while Belle and James were each sentenced to two years and eight months.

Detective Constable Andy Brackley was the officer in charge of the investigation - he said:

"Cameron, Belle and James carried out a violent and sustained attack on their victim and it is only by sheer luck that their attack was not fatal.

"By piecing together several strands of evidence, we were able to build a comprehensive case against them, leaving them with little choice but to plead guilty at court
