Drivers are being warned to expect delays ahead of closures of the level crossing at Mitcham Eastfields station.
Network Rail are working on a major £45m railway signalling upgrade in Sutton and Mitcham.
Eastfield Road level crossing will close to both pedestrians and vehicles from 10pm today March 29 to 4am on April 3.
Over these dates pedestrians will be able to use the station footbridge and lifts to cross the railway with motorists advised to follow diversions via Commonside East.
The work will also affect some Southern and Thameslink services with buses replacing trains between Streatham and Sutton via Mitcham Junction and other services in the area set to run less frequently.
