Street opera has been popping up all over Merton this summer, much to the bewilderment of many locals.
Baseless Fabric Theatre has been putting on Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte in pop-up locations in Colliers Wood Morden and Wimbledon this week.
Last week, crowds gathered to watch the performance in Tooting, Pollards Hill and Raynes Park.
The classic opera has been re-imagined as an hour-long street spectacle by composer and conductor Leo Geyer, and opera director Joanna Turner.
Baseless want to give people who might not have the opportunity or inclination to experience opera the chance to do so.
The story is in a modern, high street format - so watch out for props from Starbucks, talk of the woes of modern dating, and lyrics such as 'are you going to the pub?'
If you missed it, you can catch the last performances tomorrow, August 5 at The Dox & Fox in Wimbledon Village and on Sunday, August 6 on Wimbledon Piazza.
Congratulations @BaselessFabric on creating a magical street opera in Morden. Thank you pic.twitter.com/BmEbok3e9x
