A man from Mitcham charged with dangerous driving after a car was driven towards a police officer at speed has appeared in court.
It is alleged that a man drove at a police officer, who narrowly avoided being injured, after police attempted to stop a car in Tylecroft Road, Norbury, on Saturday, March 19.
The car then crashed into two parked cars, mounting the bonnet of one them.
Mr Chaudhary, 24, of Abbotts Road, Mitcham, has been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop for a police officer, failing to stop after an accident and driving without suitable insurance.
He has not yet entered a plea.
He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 25, and was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on Friday, May 20.
