A man has admitted driving while disqualified after an alleged hit and run which caused tailbacks on Friday night in Merton.
Andrew Landon, 35, of Stourhead Gardens, Raynes Park, admitted one count of driving while disqualified after a crash on Lower Morden Lane, Morden, on Friday afternoon.
A car hit a lamppost and flipped over, blocking the road and causing heavy traffic on Friday at about 4.30pm.
At Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, March 1, he indicated a guilty plea to a charge of aggravated vehicle taking and did not enter a plea for a charge of damaging property.
He was originally charged with driving while disqualified, failing to stop after a road accident, aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving.
He will next appear at the same court on March 21 for a further hearing.
