Double Olympic Gold medallist Laura Trott will be dropping into Merton this afternoon to encourage women onto their bikes.
23 year-old Miss Trott, who is reigning Olympic champion in track and road cycling, will be having afternoon tea at the Women’s Institute in Wimbledon today.
She will be there to celebrate Women’s Sport Week which runs until June 7, and to promote this year’s Prudential RideLondon.
As part of the visit she will be talking to the group about the benefits of cycling and her motivations for taking up the sport.
RideLondon will take place in London and Surrey on August 1 and 2.
