You have to dig beyond the headlines to get the balance of the wheelie bin proposal (Wheelie bad? January 15). This is a pilot scheme, funded by a government grant to tackle one of major issues within the borough.
It is like completing an assault course walking down my road after the rubbish collections and I have no idea how wheelchair residents cope with this?
The council are consulting all residents on the issue and any idea to combat this should be applauded.
There will be long term environmental and eventually financial benefits for the whole borough.
I am sure scaremongering soundbites and comical expenditure figures from Councillor Dean would fit quite nicely in a wheelie bin too!
